General Registration Matters

  • Registration will close at 5pm on Friday, 17 November 2023, or when the event capacity has reached, whichever is earlier. Once registration has closed, it will be announced on the Dinner and Dance homepage.

  • You can either register as an individual or as part of a group.
  • Employees are encouraged to register as a group if they want to sit together or in the same area.
  • If you are registering as a member of a group, select the group you want to join from the
  • dropdown list during registration. You would be able to search for your Group Name. You would be able to see your Group Leader Name once you select your Group.

  • If you register as an individual, you will be seated according to your food selection. By registering as an individual, you are saying you have no preference who you sit with.

  • See below under the heading “Group Registration Matters“.

  • If you register as an individual, you can choose from the 2 food menus.
  • For groups, the group leader chooses the menu for everyone in the group.

  • The bank and MBS have jointly applied for MUIS Halal certification, inclusive of the cleansing of kitchen, utensils, crockery and food verification services.
  • All the meat, poultry and fish supplied for the event are Halal certified.

  • Yes, alcohol will be served during the event.
  • Kindly note that we do not stop anyone from taking liquor from the bar and placing it on the tables.

  • You can update the group by clicking on following link **

  • Yes, you can cancel your registration directly in the CardsPal mobile app.
  • You can only cancel up to the date/time that registration is closed i.e. no later than 5:00pm, 20 November 2023. After that time, registrations are final and cancellations will not be accepted.
  • Do take note of the penalty for failing to attend the event without prior cancellation, as set out in the Terms and Conditions.
  • If you are unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19, kindly drop us an email on RecClub-Events SG to cancel your registration along with valid evidence.

  • The bank is paying the cost of organising this event for the benefit of staff, but there is a limit on how many staff can be accommodated by the venue. As a result, we normally end up over- subscribed and have a waiting list of staff who want to attend. If you register and don’t attend, there will be an empty seat at the event, wasted food and another member of staff who would have liked to attend will miss out. The penalty exists to encourage staff to make appropriate decisions and cancel, thereby allowing us to allocate the space to someone else and maximise the number of staff who benefit from the event, and in turn this reduces wastage.
  • Planning the seating arrangement for 4,500+ people, including all the groups and food (let alone all the other logistics) is a significant undertaking and it simply isn’t possible for us to do this at the last minute. For this reason, we have to finalise all registrations a week before and cannot accept cancellations in the last week prior to the event.
  • The committee will, in its sole discretion, waive the no-show penalty in exceptional circumstances such as you have been hospitalised or bereavement but we will require evidence to be provided.

  • Once the event has reached full capacity you can register to be on the wait list. If you are on the wait list you are NOT confirmed as attending. If there are cancellations, people in the waitlist are allocated spaces on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.
  • Please take note that joining a Group does not entitle you to “jump the queue” in the wait list.

  • Kindly drop us an email on RecClub-Events SG, our team will assist to extract the confirmation email for you.

Group Registration Matters

  • We recommend you discuss and agree with your colleagues to agree on a group name and which of you will create the group. Please note you cannot change the group name or details, so it is important to agree this with your colleagues first.
  • A new group can be created when you register via the CardsPal app. Whoever creates the group is the group owner and a member of that group.
  • As a group, the food preference selected at group level applies to all members.
  • There can be only one Group Leader in a created group. E.g. Should you plan to have 2 different

  • Each table at the event will seat 12. If your Group has exactly 12 registered staff in it with confirmed tickets (no waitlisted staff) at the close of registrations, you will be allocated one table for your Group to sit together.
  • Groups with fewer than 12 registered staff will be combined with other Groups and/or individual registrants to form a complete table of 12. In exceptional circumstances, the committee may need to split the Group across tables – whilst this will be avoided as much as possible, it may be necessary to optimise table allocations and maximise total capacity.
  • Groups with more than 12 registered staff will be split across multiple tables and the committee will endeavour (but cannot guarantee) to arrange those tables near each other. If the total group size is not an exact multiple of 12, the group will be combined with other groups and/or individual registrants same as above.
  • You are encouraged to achieve a Group of 12 or an exact multiple of 12 and encourage your Group members to register early.

  • Waitlisted staff are NOT confirmed as attending.
  • Once registration closes, waitlisted staff are not taken into consideration for table allocations or Best Dressed. For example, this means that if you have 12 people in your Group but 2 of them are waitlisted when registration closes, your Group size is 10 for the purposes of table allocations and 2 other people would be added to your Group to make a full table of 12.
  • If someone in your Group has to cancel, and you want to replace that person, you can only do so up to the registration closure date and whoever joins your Group must be registered with confirmed ticket (not waitlisted).

  • As the name implies, attractive prizes will be awarded to groups that have dressed best according to the theme.
  • All participants will be rewarded with priority registration and seating in a designated area close to the stage.
  • Best Dressed groups must have exactly 12 registered staff (no waitlisted staff) at the close of registration, otherwise they will be excluded from the competition.
  • Competition conditions apply. Please refer to the Dinner and Dance homepage for details.

  • Go to your confirmation email sent by <donotreply@cardspal.com>, then click on “modify my registration” to update your group details like movement between groups, change of menu type (if you are group leader).
