From as little as $0.16 a day with TRIBE by Income Child Pack, you can insure your child from illness and injury, and claim for cash payouts during hospitalisation or prolonged medical leave. 

What is TRIBE by Income?

TRIBE is a flexible monthly insurance premium subscription that can be customised to your needs based on your phase of life. They provide a selection of unique insurance packs that have been tailored to specific audiences. There’s a pack for everyone, including your precious child.  

Furthermore, you’d be glad to know that TRIBE is developed by NTUC Income, a Direct Insurer (composite) licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. 

What’s covered?

1. Comprehensive Child Illness Protection 

Be insured against 10 juvenile diseases, 21 infectious diseases (e.g. Dengue fever, Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease, Zika virus), food poisoning and accidental allergic reactions. 

 

2. Treatment for Accidental Injuries 

Get coverage for medical expenses and treatment of injuries caused by accidents, applicable for the General Practitioner and hospital of your choice. 

 

3. Cash Payouts for Hospitalisation and Prolonged Medical Leave 

Receive cash payouts up to $200/day in cases where your child is hospitalised or put on prolonged medical leave due to infectious diseases or food poisoning, or injury. 

How much does it cost?

The child pack includes coverage for both illness and injury, and comes in 3 sizes, with varying extent of coverage. Based on the profile of an 8-year-old, the packs premium amount ranges from just $5 to $20 a month, with varying amount of coverages. 

Subsequent to purchase, you may choose to subscribe to either the child illness plan or the child injury plan instead of a bundle of 2, where the plan premium amount then starts from as little as just $2.50 a month.

Moreover, as the insurance is based on subscription, starting and stopping your insurance coverage any time is without penalty, effective the following billing cycle. 

In the same vein, subscribers are also able to change their pack size on a monthly basis. This helps you find the pack that suits your child best, without paying more than you should. 

Am I and my child eligible?

Simply fulfil these criteria to be eligible to apply. 

Parents: aged between 18 and 61, being Singaporean Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents (PR). 

Child: between 15 days to 17 years old, being a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR).
